Resize an image to 1200 × 628
1200 × 628 is the workhorse landscape size for link previews, LinkedIn posts and paid social placements.

Keep the important part centred
Link previews are cropped differently by nearly every app that renders them — some to 2:1, some to a square thumbnail. Keeping the subject and any text near the centre survives all of those crops.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
- Is 1200 × 628 the same as an OG image?
- Close. 1200 × 630 is the widely cited Open Graph size; the difference of two pixels is not meaningful in practice.
- Can I put text on it?
- This toolkit only handles sizing and encoding. Add text in your design tool first, then bring the finished image here.
- Are my images uploaded to a server?
- No. Every step — decoding, cropping, resizing and encoding — runs in your browser using the Canvas API. The image file never leaves your device, so nothing is stored or transmitted by us.
